This week the Wardrobe Recommends…

Fringe

This five-season (2008-2013) television show follows FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), mad scientist Walter Bishop (John Noble), and his genius son Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson) on adventures that only those with the wildest imagination can dream up. They solve crimes that are just too strange for normal agents to investigate—that is, crimes that fall under the category of “Fringe Science”: things such as teleportation, precognition, suspended animation, and even alternate realities. This show has something for everyone, from an intricately woven plot line that extends through all the seasons and amazing special effects that make the insanity that they are investigating seem absolutely real to a heart wrenching love story and a stellar core cast that consists of Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, Jasika Nicole, and John Noble (Denethor, Steward of Gondor from the Lord of the Rings if you didn’t know). Since this show is extremely edgy (to the point of showing some frightening images), we recommend Fringe for older viewers who are looking for a new world to get lost in. It’s available on Netflix, so grab your popcorn, turn on your TV, and get ready for the ride of your life!
