This week The Wardrobe Recommends…

There’s a time in everyone’s life when they believe, hope for, or even dream of the day when the Earth is invaded by aliens. Whether they are the evil aliens that invade for colonization and world domination or that one good alien that was simply lost and landed in Earth.

The aliens in Home are a bit different.

With a history of running away, the Boov, have come to colonize Earth to hide from the big bad Gorg race. The Boov idolize their captain who taught them the art of running and cowering, Captain Smek (Steve Martin). But there is one Boov who idolizes the captain more than anyone else, and that is Oh played brilliantly by Jim Parsons.

Oh is unlike the other Boov, he is more prone to make Home Moviemistakes than the others and, though he tries his hardest, the other Boov do not appreciate him. However, we soon find out that this lovable Boov is quiet entertaining to watch with his frequent mistakes and mess-ups. Parsons plays the voice of Oh spectacularly, and with his well-known voice and face of Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory it’s a pleasant surprise to see him play a less intelligent character.

Oh ends up getting into a fascinating adventure with Gratuity (Tip) Tucci played by Rihanna. Tip is on a mission to find her mom who was separated from her. With the unexpected help from her cowering companion, Oh, they travel all over the world in search of Tip’s mom before the infamous Gorg show up to take over the Earth.Home-2015-Movie-Wallpapers-hd.jpg

This is a highly entertaining film with lots of laughs and a few touching friendship bonding times. Seeing these two other worldly characters interact with one another is hilarious and well worth it to watch.
